Key takeaways
- An AI assistant in LINE turns a voice message, text or photo from the owner into a product listing, a price update or a booking.
- TellSell (online shop on LINE) and Tellfox (booking, CRM and loyalty on LINE) are our own products with this kind of assistant.
- The AI drafts, the owner confirms: nothing goes live, and no money, points or customer messages are sent, until the owner approves.
- It works in Thai, English or a mix, and is built for owners who run the shop from their phone between customers.
- Humans still handle pricing decisions, customer relationships, disputes and anything the AI flags as unusual.
An AI assistant for your LINE shop lets you manage the business by chatting: you send a voice message, a photo or a line of text in LINE, and the AI turns it into a product listing, a price or stock update, or a booking. You check the preview and tap to confirm. Our own products TellSell (an online shop on LINE) and Tellfox (booking, CRM and loyalty on LINE) both work this way, so owners can run the shop from the phone they already use all day.
This post explains why chat beats a dashboard for many Thai SME owners, how the assistant works step by step, and what still needs a human.
Why manage a shop from a chat instead of a dashboard?
Most shop software assumes the owner sits at a computer and fills in forms. Many Thai small-business owners don’t work that way. They are behind the counter, at the market, doing a client’s nails or driving to a supplier. They already answer customers in LINE all day.
A chat-based assistant fits that day:
- No new app to learn. You use LINE, which you already have open.
- Speaking is faster than typing. A 20-second voice note can describe a product that would take several minutes to enter in a form.
- Photos go straight in. You take the picture and send it, with no uploading or cropping on a laptop.
- Small updates actually get done. “Only 3 bags left” or “open until 9 on Friday” takes one message, so the shop stays accurate.
The dashboard doesn’t disappear. Both products still have a web dashboard for bigger tasks and settings. The chat is simply the quickest way to do everyday jobs.
How the AI assistant for your LINE shop works, step by step
Both assistants follow the same pattern: you ask, the AI drafts, you confirm.
- You send a request in LINE. Type it, speak it as a voice message, or send photos. Thai, English or a mix are fine.
- The AI reads it. Voice is turned into text first. TellSell reads back what it heard before writing anything.
- It drafts the change. For a product, it writes the name, description, category and options from what you said and the photos. TellSell’s FAQ says the AI uses only your photos and words and doesn’t guess brand, size, material or authenticity.
- It checks for mistakes. If a price looks out of line with your other products (for example 3,200 instead of 320), TellSell asks you to confirm.
- You preview and confirm. Nothing goes live until you tap publish. In Tellfox, every change shows a preview first, and money, points and messages to customers are only sent after you confirm.
- You can undo. In TellSell, paid plans let you roll back changes from the menu (7, 30 or 90 days depending on plan).
Example requests: what you say and what the AI does
| What you say or send in LINE | Product | What the AI does |
|---|---|---|
| Photo + “Iced latte, 65 baht a glass, can do less sweet” | TellSell | Drafts a product with name, description, category, price and a sweetness option |
| Photo of a handbag on a messy table | TellSell | Removes the background and places the item on a clean white backdrop |
| “Medium roast beans, only 3 bags left” | TellSell | Updates the stock count; items are marked sold out automatically when stock runs out |
| Several photos of the same item at once | TellSell | Combines them into one product (up to 10 photos) |
| “Open until 9 pm on Friday” | Tellfox | Changes opening hours and warns you about bookings affected by the change |
| “Book Khun Som for Saturday at 2 pm” | Tellfox | Drafts the booking for you to confirm |
| “Give Khun Som a stamp” | Tellfox | Adds a stamp to her loyalty card after you confirm |
| “She bought the 10-session package, paid cash” | Tellfox | Records the package sale on her profile |
| Voice note after a treatment | Tellfox | Saves the note to the customer’s profile for next time |
| Photo of your price board | Tellfox | Creates a service list with names, durations and prices for you to confirm |
| “Who’s coming today?” | Tellfox | Lists today’s bookings, free slots and unconfirmed customers |
On TellSell’s Business and Pro plans, the AI can also write the English version of each product in the same step for a bilingual shop.
What still needs a human
The assistant removes data entry, not judgment. You still decide:
- Prices and promotions. The AI records the price you give it. It doesn’t set prices for you.
- What you sell. TellSell holds items that look prohibited for online sale in Thailand, or counterfeit, for team review instead of publishing them.
- Customer relationships. In TellSell the AI does not talk to customers for you. Buyers order on your shop page and contact you through LINE, email or phone.
- Mistakes. The AI can get things wrong. TellSell’s own FAQ says so, which is why there is a preview, a one-message edit and an undo.
- Anything sensitive. Refunds, complaints and unusual requests are still yours to handle.
If you want an AI that answers customer chats, that is a different tool: a customer-facing chatbot (people often search for this as “AI ตอบแชท”). Tellfox’s paid plans include customer-facing AI features, such as answers in LINE and search on the booking page. For a full customer-service bot on your LINE OA, see our LINE OA marketing and automation service.
Privacy: what happens to your messages and photos?
Read each product’s privacy policy before you start. TellSell’s policy says:
- Your text, images and voice messages are sent to AI models to draft listings. The models run on Cloudflare Workers AI.
- Voice is turned into text, and the audio files are not stored.
- Buyer data is not sent to the AI.
- Buyer data is used only for your shop, and TellSell says it does not sell personal data.
- The policy follows Thailand’s PDPA, and you can export your shop data from the dashboard.
Tellfox publishes a privacy policy and a data processing agreement, and records PDPA consent per channel in its CRM. Its demo states that photos and text you send are used to create the preview.
Who it suits: TellSell or Tellfox
TellSell suits small sellers such as cafés, bakeries, handmade goods, skincare and fashion, plus services sold as packages or deposits. Tellfox suits appointment businesses: spas, salons, clinics, studios, gyms, tutors and pet groomers.
| TellSell (shop) | Tellfox (booking) | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan AI | 10 AI requests a day | 20 assistant uses in total |
For current plans, see tellsell.app and tellfox.app.
The simplest way to judge it is to try one real task, such as adding a product you sell today by voice, and see if it saves you time.
FAQ
Does the AI reply to my customers?
In TellSell, no: the assistant only helps the owner run the shop, and customers order on the shop page. Tellfox's paid plans include customer-facing AI features such as answers in LINE and on the booking page, but the owner-side assistant is a separate tool.
Can I speak Thai and English mixed?
Yes. TellSell's FAQ says you can type or speak Thai, English or a mix, and the AI writes the listing in the shop's main language.
How long can a voice message be?
TellSell accepts voice messages of up to 2 minutes each and reads back what it heard before writing the listing.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. TellSell's free plan includes 10 AI requests a day, and Tellfox's free plan includes 20 AI assistant uses in total. Paid plans raise these limits.
